Kimberly Larkin

  • Kimberly Larkin is thrilled to bring her over 20+ years of teaching experience specializing in Musical Theatre vocal techniques, building repertoire and audition preparation to the New York Singing Studio. She is currently a faculty member in both the Theatre & Music Departments at Long Island School for the Arts in Syosset, NY and directs the ECPSM Musical Theatre Summer Workshop at the Aaron Copland School of Music/ Queens College.

    Ms. Larkin's voice students have won numerous vocal competitions, performed lead roles in local, regional, off-Broadway and Broadway productions and they have also been accepted to the top college programs in musical theater. She studied voice with renowned Broadway actress Judith Blazer as well as Dr. Jeanne Gofi-Finn and Dr. Sherry Overholt.

    Recent NYC theatre credits include: Christine in Mile Marker 117 (Strawberry One Act Festival Semi-Finalist), featured soloist in AEA Showcase of Christmas Rappings, Wendy in G-69 (Strawberry One Act Festival Finalist), Archon in Float (Dream Up Festival), Miss Bunny in Molly Bloom-Lately (New York Children's Theatre Festival) and Claire Simmonds in Bare: A Pop Opera at The York Theatre. She performed as Sarah Lincoln in the off-Broadway musical Honestly Abe at the Actor's Temple Theatre in NYC for over two years.

    Ms. Larkin holds a MA in Vocal Performance: Concentration in Musical Theatre from NYU and a BA in Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she studied both voice and piano. Learn more at KimberlyLarkin.com.

  • Ms. Larkin is available for private voice lessons and voice/acting coaching sessions. She specializes in audition preparation for Performing Arts High Schools, College Theatre Programs and Professional, Community and School Productions. She also prepares students for N.Y.S.S.M.A. adjudications. ​

    Ms. Larkin is very proud of her private vocal students accomplishments: she currently has students attending LaGuardia and Frank Sinatra HS for both Drama and Vocal and her students have been accepted to Musical Theatre and Drama Programs at colleges such as: NYU, Marymount Manhattan, Emerson, Rider, Boston Conservatory, SUNY Fredonia, University of the Arts, Wagner, Catholic University, Northeastern, Adelphi and AMDA.
