“Kimberly created a strong foundation for efficient technique that I carried with me through my college years, my Masters degree, and beyond.”
“Kimberly Larkin was my first voice and piano teacher from the age of 7 years old, all the way through my senior year of high school. Because she taught me how to sing during the crucial developmental stages of my voice, I can attribute my healthy technique and healthy singing voice to her. Kimberly created a strong foundation for efficient technique that I carried with me through my college years, my Masters degree, and beyond.
The lessons certainly went above and beyond the technical aspects, though. Kimberly has always been, and still is a true mentor in my life. She has guided me through countless performances, auditions, festivals, and job opportunities over the years. She has always been invested in my growth as an artist, teacher, and performer. Her gentle and kind approach to teaching is something that I always cherished, and have brought into my own teaching. Further, her connection with her students is deep-rooted, rich with nurture, and frankly, unmatched. I owe many, if not all of my educational and artistic successes to Kimberly.
Overall, the passion and devotion that she puts into her students is authentic and inspiring. In this way, following in her footsteps as an educator has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am forever grateful for my lifelong connection with Kimberly, and the grounded roots that she set for me as a vocalist, musician, performer, and educator.”
